UNDP Indonesia's mission is to be an agent for change in the human and social development of Indonesia. We aim to be a bridge between Indonesia and all donors as well as a trusted partner to all stakeholders. We work in four key areas of development: Governance Reforms, Pro-Poor Policy Reforms, Conflict Prevention and Recovery, and Environment Management, with the overarching aim of reducing poverty in Indonesia. Besides the four priority areas, UNDP Indonesia is also engaged in a variety of crosscutting initiatives focused on HIV/AIDS, gender equality, and information and technology for development. The Project Officer is assigned to manage the day-to-day project implementation of the component assigned and provides support to, and is supervised by, the National Project Manager (NPM) in overseeing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of AGTP project management. He/she is to organize and plan project implementation according to AGTP objectives and adhere to UNDP rules, regulations and procedures whilst achieving UNDP Country Programme outcomes. Also, he/she is expected to establish rapport and collaboration with beneficiaries and stakeholders. As the person responsible for a project component delegated by the NPM, the Project Officer supervises all other Project Management Unit (PMU) staff (Project Associate and Project Assistant) assigned to the said component. He/she works in close collaboration with the other staff within the PMU (e.g., finance and procurement) as well as with staff of the UNDP Aceh Operations Centre as required for resolving complex implementation-related issues and to exchange information.
